Engaged as Interim Chief Growth Officer.  Responsibilities include developing and implementing performance metrics including Key Performance Indicators and SMART Goals across the organization and reviewing the organization’s existing assets to identify which ones can be monetized as part of an earned income strategy.  Led the designing and pricing of its Good Job Accelerator. Led product development and launch of the Good Employer Matrix (GEM).

Engaged as Interim Chief Operating Officer responsible for debt restructuring, cash flow management and evaluating strategic options. Debt restructuring activities included reviewing and revising proforma, preparing financials and engaging potential lenders and/or investors.  Cash flow management activities included developing plan to optimize A/R collection and extend A/P.  Counseled Owner in sale of company to strategic buyer.

Provided hands-on interim senior management to REDF's portfolio organizations as needed. Activities included designing and vetting of business and revenue models. Market analysis and research for new business lines. Financial and job creation forecasting portfolio organizations. Portfolio organizations have included Weingart Center, Goodwill Silicon Valley and Urban Strategies/Green Streets.

 

Interim General Manager / Strategic Advisor

 

Worked directly with senior management team  to restructure business operations, logistics and distribution.  Utilizing Key Performance Indicators, developed customer and site acquisition strategies.  Increased internal financial reporting capability to better manage revenue and expenses as well as developed inventory cost tracking.  Developed organizational chart and job descriptions as well as assisted in recruitment and hiring of General Manager. Updated business plan and financial model to attract new funding as the company changed from a for-profit to a non-profit to better meet its social impact goals. 

 

Acquisition and divestiture of a produce processing plant.

 

Served as Interim Enterprise Director for Buckelew’s social enterprise People’s Harvest tasked with restructuring the social enterprise business model.  Responsible for initial pilot launch and customer acquisition for fresh cut produce business. Identified and negotiated strategic partnership with regional wholesale distributor that resulted in People's Harvest's acquisition of a San Francisco based fruit and vegetable processor. Led relocation and integration into the strategic partner’s Petaluma facility and negotiation of an exclusive operating agreement.  Managed sale of processing business to strategic partner.

 

Led restructuring and growth of stadium concessions business.

 

President tasked with restructuring existing concessions operations. Developed relationships with City governments to access local and state retail sites and funding streams. Led contract negotiations and RFP responses. Restructured vendor agreements to improve cash flow. Expanded business development efforts. CMG managed and operated concession stands and hawkers with the DC United (MLS), Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals (MLB), Houston Texans (NFL) USC Trojans, CAL Bears and Infineon Raceway (NASCAR) employing over 100 employees from low-income communities.
